Confetti Bowls

The Illustration Friday theme this week is CLEAN. This watercolor, Confetti Bowls (27 x 21) - painted from an early morning scene of dishes in the sunlight on our kitchen counter seems like a good fit. (sold)

Belinda, your use of color and value is really exceptional. You always have such intense contrasts, and the shine on the glass, blue bowl, and tile is just amazing. You should consider teaching an on-line watercolor class! (and put me on your mailing list ...)

Belinda, this is fabulous! You can give Janet Fish a run for her money! Your glass and tile reflections are what you do best! Thanks for sharing your results on your blog!

Love the vibrant colors you get with your watercolors - your caputring of the light is really beautiful. And the glasses are great - I know how hard they are to do [for me at least, I could never really get it right] but this is really fabulous. Especially how all the colors are working together to build a really strong image.

Yes, the glass is remarkable. I've dabbled in watercolor and can appreciate how this turned out all th emore. And the translucent shadows, too. Simply, wow.

Took a look down the page as well. Good stuff!
