Espy; Mini Watercolor

This is a mini watercolor of an asian woman, looking all stealthy towards something or someone off frame. She's matted and framed in black, painted wood with relief leaves and swirls, and black and burgundy archival matboard. The watercolor measures 1.5 x 3, and she's listed on Ebay here.
Espy = Es-py, v. i.
To look or search narrowly; to look about; to watch; to take notice; to spy.
Stand by the way, and espy.

This is so captivating. there's something so strong about her gaze that I want to know what she sees and what she's thinking. I love the bleeding watercolors in the background and the soft but precise treatmentn of her face. The frame is gorgeous as well. Lovely work!
