A sketch of my sister, inspired by a photo taken in 1980, a piece of matboard coated with gloss medium varnish, and an assortment of colored construction paper to cut & glue into figurative, rainy & umbrella shapes.
My collograph inked, and wiped lightly with cloth, and ready to print.
The plate, next to the print, ready for color.
First washes of watercolor...
Finished. Rainy Day Girl, 4.5 x 6 Collograph & Watercolor
Available for sale here.
(This new obsession was introduced to me this week by my friend and fellow artist Victor McCay. Be warned; it's so fun, you'll make tons of them!)
