Illustration Friday 11/10/2006: CLEAR

Early mornings and late afternoons are the best matinees on my kitchen counters. The window in front of my sink is a rotating stage of flowers and fruit and chachkes; all subjects that might be painted after I see what the sunlight does on them. Clear glass almost always steals the show.

I saw this on daily painters and knew it was yours. I recognized your counter top. I love the composition, apples are great addition. I have a white porcelin kitchen floor that looks very much like this counter top and you have captured the light really well.

This is stunning, Belinda! You have so masterfully captured the light, and the reflections from the glass are so gorgeous! I really do feel like it's late afternoon...as if I am sitting with a cup of coffee looking at the pretty "matinee." beautiful work:>
