Santa Clarita Light and a Los Angeles Exhibit

This watercolor was started on site (above, on the left) while exhibiting at the Boddy House Gallery last month. The beautiful, crisp edges of Fall light in Santa Clarita make me feel like I'm in another country sometimes. The clarity can make you see rooms in a fresh way, even though you've lived in them and walked through them for years. I love this season.
Santa Clarita Light, 6 x 8 Watercolor Sold

This painting, and about 50 others I've done this year will be exhibited this Saturday in Valencia (20 minutes north of Los Angeles) as part of a Four-Woman Show... You'll see gorgeous marble sculpture & plein air oil paintings by Laura Wambsgans, landscapes & portraits in both acrylic and pastel by Lorelle Miller, and stunning, large scale acrylic abstracts by Nancy Eckels. All together, the four of us will be showing almost 200 peices. If you're local, please stop by. (More info: 661/252-9868)

:-) I just noticed that the picture of your sister (?right?) is on the poster -- I remember that as being one of my favorite pieces of yours!
