She Saw it was Good: Collaborative Monotype & Colored Pencil

My friend and fellow artista JMC made a beautiful, painterly monotype of her sister-in-law. She pulled a 2nd ghost from the plate on Arches 88 paper, and it was very faint, but screaming for colored pencil play time. I was shocked when JMC handed it to me, and said G'head. (Picture happy feet dancing under the table.) Here it is (above), hanging in my studio, torturing me with wait-time while the ink dried.

The next day, after a little time under a blow dryer to insure that the ink was dry, I started laying in colored pencil in arbitrary colors, much like watercolor washes, one on top of the other till I had the right values for her skin tone, and reflected light on her face.
She wasn't holding an apple in the reference photo, but I've been on an Eve-kick lately and couldn't resist. The monotype is signed with the title, and by both artists.

Really Beautiful I have been admiring your dedication and thanks you for posting your work. I admit I am a little jealous becasue I have done no painting lately. Your work is inspiring I wish I could come and take a class!

Picture perfect! Congratulations to both of you. The addition of the apple was simply, artist genius at work.
What's this Eve-kick about?
