Collograph & Watercolor: Man Among the Palms

Been looking at Egon Schiele (1890-1918) and Oskar Kokoschka (1886-1980) this week. I've been swooning over their art for 20 years. I have prints of Kokoschka's The Mandrill and Schiele's Self Portrait Pulling Cheek pinned to a cork board in my studio. This collograph was influenced by both artists.
The first print, pulled from the plate after painting it with colored ink, using rolled felt stomps charged with pigment (a la poupée).
Hanging in the studio, drying after watercolors were added to the inks.
Man Among the Palms, 5.25 x 4.5
Collograph & Watercolor, #1 in an edition of 6
