On a Sunday morning, I saw a photo in the newspaper of a woman with her hands clasped in front of her, and I thought it would be a fun hand-study to sketch. I started adding a face behind the hands (the photo was an elderly woman, so I sketched random features), and that lead to jewelry and beads, etc.
Pretty soon, I was adding hair, and a head band, and then washes of watercolor, so I couldn't stop there...

Love the jewelry and attitude of the "Red Head". Beautiful painting Belinda.
I loved watching this one evolve. The expression in her eyes so matches the gesture of her hands. Beautiful.
I liked watching it evolve as well. It was almost a "behind the scenes" effect.
Great work.
