This is the 2nd watercolor doodled on a Southwest Airlines tray table two weeks ago. Skinner Park is a 390 acre State Park on Holyoke Mountain in Western Massachusetts. It's a beautifully preserved area with a breathtaking view of the Connecticut River Valley.
I have photos and sketches of the park begging to be painted; some of them are 20 years old. (I should get started, eh?)

Wow. That sold fast.
Not that it didn't deserve to. I'm just saying that my RSS aggregator needs to cycle a little faster.
Hey, there's Skinner Park! That's where me and Ty the yellow lab go for walks. And there's my little town, down below. Sweet watercolor. It's really really cold here this week, so it's good you got out when you did! Looking forward to seeing the other 400. -ab
These are gorgeous. So you didn't have any trouble carrying watercolors on the plane? I'm flying to Mexico on a painting trip next week and would love to bring mine on board but was worried they'd take them away from me at security even though they're hard not wet, in a metal box.
