This is my Great-Uncle Nick. He's had MS for more than half of his 83 years. Wednesday, he said it was a 2-ton day, even though he only weighs 152 lbs. He couldn't lift his hands, so I dropped junior mints in his mouth.

beautiful, poignant art piece. I love how you captured this man's spirit on paper.
aahhh! Awesome!!! i love it!
I wanted to post a comment because I was looking at this for so long and found it very affecting. Im not sure what to say though. Its very delicate in a way, with the words and the topic being gravity. Very nicely done.
Great work!
So that is where you get some of your lovliness and genious = genetics.

katey
This is such a loving portrait! Uncle Nick looks like a man with tremendous spirit...he has a smile so full of warmth. You have portrayed him with so much dignity and positive energy... I am very moved by this.
Belinda, this piece goes without words. There is so much spirit here. We all need to take heart on what is really important in this life. We should all take time to paint with such emotion.
Very touching and well done piece. He's very fortunate to have someone like you around.
Belinda-
So beautiful, this is what art truly is about. You have captured spirit, compassion, humor and love all with paint and paper.
A gorgeous, luminescent portrait.
