My brothers used to climb into Grandpa's hip-waders and hunting shirts, and don his fly-fishing hats to hike down to the pond to catch frogs. Our family photo albums are dotted with poses by the pool; smiling boys, draped with frogs on heads, shoulders and hands. At dinner time, the boys came inside, and the newly named buddies hopped back down the hill towards the pond.

What a great painting! I've looked at it as closely as I can to see what is watercolor and where the colored pencil touches are ... wonderful!
:-)
Wonderful personality in this painting. that's what painting the figure is about.
Great painting (and great title). I love the richness.
Fantastic, Belinda! Reminds me of a time when the world seemed innocent - every generation deserves a time like this. I'm terrified of F***s, so I'm glad you weren't tempted to include them :)
Linda said it - what a great painting. I love it. Do it again and BIGGER! It'll win prizes.......

This picture tells a story. There is character going on in there.
And now it belongs to me! I just bought it today at the Little Italy Art Walk in San Diego ... and I'm THRILLED to own it!
